2007 In Review: The founder,Mr. Ephram Smiley will be concentrating his talents and efforts on the FWCFC vegetable garden project. Mr. Willie Jordan, also a founder, was elected president and John Holder was elected vice president. We are certain they will bring new ideas to the club. We wish them good luck and all the best. The Fort Wayne Community Fishing Club, recipients of 2004 Indiana Youth Institute Investment Award, recently completed our 11th year of providing wholesome outdoor activities for area youth. Over two hundred youth benefited from our fishing program in 2007.Many senior citizens experienced healthier nutrition with vegetables from the Angel Community Garden sponsored by mr.Smiley and FWCFC. June 2, the club had another successful youth fishing program,with awards going too the largest fish caught in four different categories. Also June 9th participation in the Wayne Township Fishing Derby Club youth development. July 27th overnight fishing and camping trip to Roanoke, In. The form includes participant information, parental permission & parental release requirements. The youth are required to sign an agreement on conduct and participation. Participation and involvement by a parent(s), guardian and or other responsible family member is welcomed and strongly encouraged when ever possible.
